In October 2019, students from the Department of Theatre, Film and Media Studies (University of Vienna) attended the 20th Mezipatra Queer Film Festival in Brno, Czech Republic. The excursion was organized in cooperation with the festival and the Department of Film Studies and Audiovisual Cultures at Masaryk University, Brno. Besides seminars with students from both Universities, a panel was convened consisting of the lecturers—Šárka Gmiterková, Stefan Schweigler and Kathrin Wojtowicz—and Jana Čížkovská from Charles University, Prague (i.e., Mezipatra’s former programmer and head of translation). This volume of the tfmlog journal presents an international selection of film reviews written by the students of both universities. Besides articles in German, this volume therefore also contains reviews in Czech and English.
